Baked Salmon with Herbs and Parmesan Cheese
Ingredients
- 600 g (1.3 lb) salmon fillet, skin removed
- 720 ml (3 cups) heavy cream
- 200 g (2 cups) parmesan cheese, shredded
- 420 g (3 cups) green peas
- 50 g (0.11 lb) scallion, thinly sliced
- 0.5 g (1 tsp) dried basil
- 0.8 g (1 tsp) dried oregano
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F)
2. Mix the dried basil and oregano in a small bowl
3. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, letting the edges overhang slightly
4. Place the salmon fillet on the prepared sheet, leaving space around it
5. Season the salmon with salt and pepper on all sides
6. Evenly spread the heavy cream over the surface of the salmon
7. Sprinkle the dried herb mixture and scallions over the cream layer
8. Cover generously with shredded parmesan and scatter the green peas around and on top
9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily when nudged with a fork
10. Remove from the oven and let rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving
