Burrata and Prosciutto Pizza with Fresh Mushrooms and Oregano
- 800 g pizza dough, 2 cups
- 240 ml pizza sauce with tomatoes, 1 cup
- 240 ml shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup
- 120 g prosciutto, thinly sliced, 1/2 cup
- 1 burrata cheese, sliced into thin rounds
- 5 slices fresh mushrooms
- 15 ml chopped fresh oregano, 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil for brushing
- Salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F)
2. Roll out the pizza dough to your desired size and thickness and brush the edges with olive oil to prevent the crust from drying out
3. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough leaving a small border around the edges
4. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced mushrooms, and chopped oregano
5. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbling
6. Remove the pizza from the oven and add slices of prosciutto and chunks of burrata cheese
7. Let the residual heat soften the burrata for a minute
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste
9. Use caution when handling hot baking trays and cutting the pizza. Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing.
10. Slice the pizza and serve right away
