Caviar and Creme Fraiche Snacks

- 400g / 14.1 oz strong cheese, crumbled
- 250g / 8.8 oz crème fraîche, cold
- 1 egg yolk
- 30g / 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 30g / 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F or 180°C.
2. Roll out the chilled crème fraîche roll on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/4 inch or 6 mm thick.
3. Spread crumbled cheese evenly over the crème fraîche, making sure to leave a 1-inch or 2.5 cm border around the edges.
4. Add a sprinkle of chopped chives and dill over the cheese for extra flavor.
5. Starting from the long side, roll the crème fraîche tightly but gently, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
6. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
7. Slice the roll into 1/2-inch or 1.3 cm thick rounds.
8. Place these rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they're evenly spaced.
9. Brush the tops of each round with an egg yolk for a rich, golden glaze.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are lightly golden.
11. Serve the snacks warm or at room temperature, garnished with a dollop of crème fraîche and a sprinkle of caviar for added luxury.
