Cheesy Jalapeño Bites
Ingredients
- 450g / 1 cup crumbled fresh cheese (such as feta or goat cheese)
- 225g / 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 24 small puff pastry squares
- 45g / 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 30g / 2 tablespoons chopped jalapeño peppers
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Roll out the puff pastry squares to about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thickness.
4. Divide the shredded cheddar cheese among the pastry squares leaving a 1/2 inch (1 cm) border around the edges.
5. Top the cheese with a few pieces of chopped jalapeño pepper.
6. Fold the pastry squares in half over the filling to form triangles pressing the edges to seal.
7. Place the triangles on the prepared baking sheet leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each.
8. Brush the tops with a little water and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
10. Serve warm and enjoy!
