Chevre Filled Meatballs with French Sauce
- 500g / 1.1lb ground beef
- 100g / 3.5oz goat cheese
- 1 dl / 0.4 cups oat groats
- 2 msk / 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1 msk / 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 msk / 1 tbsp potato flour
- ¾ dl / 0.3 cups water
- 2 krm / 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsk / 1 tsp salt
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Combine ground beef, goat cheese, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
3. Mix well with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined.
4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a meatball.
5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until cooked through.
7. Melt butter over medium heat in a small saucepan.
8. Add all-purpose flour and whisk to combine.
9. Cook for 1-2 minutes stirring constantly.
10. Gradually add water whisking continuously and bring to a simmer.
11. Reduce heat to low and let cook for 5-7 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
12. Serve the meatballs with the French sauce accompanied by roasted potatoes haricots verts red currant jelly and cornichons.
