Crispy Rolls with Smoked Turkey and Mustard

Crispy Rolls with Smoked Turkey and Mustard
A savory, satisfying bite perfect for afternoon snacks or holiday spreads. These golden rolls feature tender smoked turkey enveloped in whole-grain bread, layered with a zesty mix of mustard, honey, and fresh parsley, then baked until crisp. The filling stays moist and flavorful, with a balance of tangy, sweet, and herbal notes. Easy to assemble and bake, they're ideal warm from the oven—simple enough for a lazy day, impressive enough for guests. Messy fingers are guaranteed, but so is clean-plate success.
Ingredients
  • 100 g / 3.5 oz smoked turkey breast, sliced thin
  • 8 slices whole-grain bread (about 30 g / 1 oz per slice)
  • 30 ml / 2 tbsp whole-grain mustard
  • 30 ml / 2 tbsp crème fraîche or plain yogurt
  • 7.5 ml / 1½ tsp runny honey
  • 15 g / ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a small bowl, mix together whole-grain mustard, honey, and chopped parsley until evenly combined.

3. Lay out the turkey slices. Spread 7.5 ml (1½ tsp) of the parsley-mustard mixture over each slice.

4. Place a slice of bread on each turkey slice. Add 7.5 ml (1½ tsp) of crème fraîche or yogurt over the bread.

5. Tightly roll up each slice from one edge, wrapping the turkey around the bread and filling.

6. Arrange the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the outer layer is golden and crisp.

8. Serve immediately while warm for the best texture and flavor.
