Crispy Sesame Garlic Bread with Fresh Parsley
- 400 g (1 lb) pizza dough
- 1 large egg
- 3 g (½ tsp) fine sea salt
- 10 g (1 tbsp) white sesame seeds
- 10 g (1 tbsp) black sesame seeds
- 20 g (¼ cup) fresh parsley, finely chopped
1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Divide the pizza dough into two equal portions.
3. Roll each portion into a rectangle about 30 cm by 15 cm (12 in by 6 in) and place on the baking sheet.
4. In a small bowl, beat the egg with half the salt until smooth.
5. Brush the egg wash evenly over the entire surface of each dough piece, leaving a 2.5 cm (1 in) border around the edges.
6. Evenly sprinkle both types of sesame seeds over the egg-washed surface.
7. Gently fold the uncovered edges over once to create a clean rim, sealing the sides.
8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until deeply golden and crisp.
9. Remove from oven and let cool for 2–3 minutes.
10. Sprinkle generously with chopped parsley just before serving.
11. Serve warm, torn by hand or sliced with a knife.
