Crispy Tarts with Fruit and Whipped Cream

- 250g / 8.8 oz all-purpose flour
- 200g / 7 oz softened butter
- 400g / 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 120ml / 1/2 cup milk
- 6g / 1 tsp baking powder
- Cake crumbs
- Whipped heavy cream for serving
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F or 180°C.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the sugar and softened butter together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt together.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
6. Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch or 6 mm and use a cookie cutter to create circles.
7. Place the dough circles into a greased tart pan and press them gently to form the tart shape.
8. Bake the tarts for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
9. Allow the tarts to cool completely before filling them with whipped cream and topping with fresh strawberries.
10. Serve the tarts immediately and enjoy!
