Delicious Crab and Horseradish Cream Pastry
Ingredients
- 450g/1 lb fresh crab meat
- 225g/8 oz unsalted butter, softened
- 375g/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 250g pastry dough
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 20g fresh dill, chopped
- 30ml/2 tbsp cold water
Instructions
1. Begin by preparing the pastry dough according to the recipe instructions.
2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
3. Roll out the pastry dough to your desired thickness and cut into squares or circles.
4. Place a spoonful of crab meat in the center of each pastry square or circle.
5. Top the crab with a dollop of horseradish cream and sprinkle with chopped fresh dill.
6. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle or square pressing the edges together to seal.
7. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Serve warm garnished with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired.
