Easy Film Milk Bread

Ingredients
- 375g / 2 cups coarse rye flour
- 450g / 3 cups all-purpose wheat flour
- 250g / 2 cups rye grains
- 120g / 1 cup flaxseeds
- 5g / 1 tsp salt
- 475ml / 2 cups filmjölk (or substitute with plain yogurt, such as sour cream)
- 475ml / 2 cups dark syrup (such as molasses)
- 5g / 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F or 175°C.
2. Combine rye flour, wheat flour, and baking soda in a large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together buttermilk (or substitute with filmjölk, a Swedish type of sour milk), salt, and rye grains.
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
5. Add dark syrup and flaxseeds to the dough and knead for 10 minutes.
6. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape into a rectangle.
7. Bake for 45 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing and serving.
