Festive Christmas Ham Sandwiches
- 100 grams (3.5 ounces) fresh cheese
- 6 slices Christmas ham
- 6 slices crispbread
- 30 grams (1 ounce or 2 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh kale leaves
1. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter and Dijon mustard until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
2. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
3. Place the crispbread slices on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until crispy and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let cool.
4. Arrange the toasted crispbread slices on a serving platter or individual plates.
5. Spread a generous layer of the mustard butter mixture onto each crispbread slice.
6. Top each slice with a folded or rolled piece of Swedish Christmas ham.
7. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the ham on each crispbread.
8. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each sandwich.
9. Garnish with fresh kale leaves and serve immediately.
