Fresh Melon and Basil Bites with Air Dried Ham
Ingredients
- 200 g (7 oz) cantaloupe melon, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 200 g (7 oz) honeydew melon, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 24 slices prosciutto or other air-dried ham
- 24 small cherry tomatoes, halved (about 300 g / 10.6 oz)
- 24 fresh basil leaves
Instructions
1. On a serving platter or individual plates, arrange the cantaloupe and honeydew melon cubes, cherry tomato halves, and basil leaves.
2. Drape one or two slices of air-dried ham over each melon and tomato stack.
3. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste, if desired.
4. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy this refreshing appetizer, perfect for summer buffets, tapas, or as a light snack.
