Frozen Banana Delight with Chocolate Marshmallows
- 2 cups (475 ml / 16 fl oz) heavy whipping cream
- 1 quart (946 ml / 32 fl oz) vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup (175 g / 6 oz) milk chocolate, chopped or in chips
- 1 cup (150 g / 5.3 oz) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 large banana, sliced
- 12 large marshmallows (about 85 g / 3 oz)
1. Pour the heavy cream into a large bowl and whip until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a separate bowl and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes.
2. Melt the milk chocolate in a heatproof bowl using a microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each, or over a simmering double boiler until smooth.
3. Cut each marshmallow in half lengthwise, then carefully dip each half into the melted chocolate, coating the cut side completely.
4. Place the coated marshmallow halves, chocolate-side up, on a parchment-lined tray. Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes until set.
5. Scoop the vanilla ice cream into a serving dish or bowl.
6. Top with a generous dollop of the chilled whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and banana slices.
7. Add one or two chocolate marshmallows on top. Serve immediately.
