Meat and Berry Taco Tart

Meat and Berry Taco Tart
Imagine a twist on traditional tacos, where the tender flavor of ground meat meets the sweetness of juicy berries, all nestled in a crumbly pastry crust. This taco tart is perfect for when you want to add a bit of flair to your meal, whether that's for a special night or just a Tuesday. The combination of rich and sweet flavors creates a delightful taste experience that will leave everyone wanting more.
Ingredients
  • 500g / 1.1lb Ground Beef
  • 375g / 13.2 oz Large Tortillas (6 x 30cm / 12 inches in diameter)
  • 250g / 8.8 oz Berries (such as Cranberries or Cherries)
  • Parsley, to taste
Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F or 175°C.

2. In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it's nicely browned. As it cooks, use your spoon to break the meat apart into small pieces.

3. In a separate bowl, gently mix the berries with about 1 tablespoon or 15 milliliters of water.

4. Now arrange a single tortilla on a flat surface and spread about one quarter of the beef mixture onto one half of the tortilla. Leave a small border around the edges, making sure not to spread the filling too close to the edge.

5. Spoon one quarter of the berry mixture on top of the beef, still keeping it away from the edges.

6. Fold the tortilla in half, carefully pressing down to enclose the filling inside. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.

7. Place each of the filled tortillas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.

8. Finally, garnish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and serve warm to your guests.
