Pan Seared Salmon with Lime Sauce

Pan Seared Salmon with Lime Sauce
I love this pan-seared salmon recipe. The combination of lime and sweet chili sauce gives it a nice kick. It's quick and delicious making it perfect for dinner
Ingredients
  • 1.2 lbs (540g) fresh salmon fillet with skin
  • 8.8 oz (250g) frozen edamame beans
  • 2 large tbsp (30ml) sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp (5ml) Japanese soy sauce
  • 1.5 tsp (7.5ml) salt
  • 1 ripe mango
  • 1 large tbsp (15ml) sweet chili sauce
  • 0.75 cucumber
  • 1 large tbsp (15ml) sesame seeds
  • 0.5 fresh red chili pepper
  • Fresh lettuce or baby spinach leaves
  • Pickled red onions
  • Cooked jasmine rice or sushi rice or 2-3 cooked potatoes
Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F or 200°C.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, salt, and sweet chili sauce until well combined, then brush the mixture evenly onto both sides of the salmon fillet.

3. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the salmon, making sure to coat it evenly.

4. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin side down if it has skin.

5. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.

6. While the salmon is baking, slice the mango, cucumber, and red chili pepper into thin strips.

7. Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and top it with the mango, cucumber, and red chili pepper slices.

8. Serve the salmon with steamed edamame beans, pickled red onions, and a side of jasmine rice, sushi rice, or cooked potatoes, finishing with a garnish of lettuce or baby spinach for a fresh touch.
