Rhubarb Fizz Cocktail
Ingredients
- 120 milliliters (1/2 cup) sparkling wine
- 15 milliliters (1 tablespoon) rhubarb syrup
- 7.5 milliliters (1/2 tablespoon) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh rhubarb strips or mint sprig for garnish
Instructions
1. 1. Fill a wine glass with ice cubes to chill the glass.
2. 2. In a cocktail shaker or separate glass, combine 15 ml (1/2 oz) rhubarb syrup and 7.5 ml (1/4 oz) fresh lemon juice. Stir to mix.
3. 3. Strain the rhubarb-lemon mixture into the ice-filled wine glass.
4. 4. Top up the glass with 120 ml (4 oz) chilled sparkling wine.
5. 5. Gently stir once or twice with a spoon to combine.
6. 6. For garnish, carefully slice fresh rhubarb into thin strips using a sharp knife and slide them into the glass, or add a small sprig of fresh mint.
7. 7. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly.
