Roasted Onion Meatballs with Spicy Pepper

- 450g / 1 pound ground beef and pork mix (80% beef, 20% pork)
- 475ml / 1 cup heavy cream
- 250g / 1 cup roasted onions
- 115g / 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 22g / 1 1/2 teaspoons ground spicy pepper
- 10g / 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 6g / 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Butter or oil for frying
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 500g (1.1 lb) ground beef and pork mix with 120ml (1/2 cup) heavy cream, 60g (1 cup) breadcrumbs, 60g (1/2 cup) roasted onions, 10g (2 tsp) salt, 5g (1 tsp) black pepper, and 5g (1 tsp) ground spicy pepper.
2. Mix the ingredients together with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined, taking care not to overmix.
3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 3.8cm (1 1/2 inches) in diameter.
4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
5. Heat 15g (1 tbsp) of butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, approximately 200°C (392°F).
6. Once the butter has melted or the oil is hot, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
7. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and place them on a plate.
8. Serve warm, garnished with additional roasted onions and a sprinkle of ground spicy pepper if desired.
