Salmon with creamy mustard-dill sauce

Salmon with creamy mustard-dill sauce
This dish brings together tender salmon and a creamy sauce that feels comforting without being heavy. I like how the richness of the sauce balances with the freshness of the herbs and the simplicity of the potatoes. It's not fussy but still feels special enough for a quiet dinner when you want something warm and satisfying. The flavors come together easily, and everything just works.
Ingredients
  • 400 g (14.1 oz) salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 180 ml (0.76 cups) heavy cream
  • 60 g (0.38 cups) chopped onion
  • 120 ml (0.51 cups) Dijon mustard
  • 15 g (0.053 oz) chopped fresh dill
  • 1 g (0.035 oz) paprika
  • 300 g (10.6 oz) boiled potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).

2. Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper.

3. In a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of oil over medium heat.

4. Add the salmon fillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked.

5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the mustard-dill sauce. In a medium bowl, whisk together 180 ml heavy cream, 120 ml Dijon mustard, 60 g finely chopped onion, 15 g chopped fresh dill, 1 g paprika, salt and pepper.

6. Once the salmon is done, serve it hot with the mustard-dill sauce generously spooned over the top.

7. Serve alongside boiled potatoes and a fresh salad, garnished with chopped parsley.
