Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

Salted Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
This is one of those recipes that came to me late one night when I wanted something indulgent but different. I had a craving for chocolate that wasn't just plain sweet—something with depth and a little surprise. The salted peanut butter adds a savory twist that cuts through the richness just right. It’s the kind of treat I make when I need a mood boost and don’t mind going all out. Once you try it you’ll understand why it’s become a personal favorite.
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces / 225 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup / 200 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 cup / 120 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups / 250 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons / 7 grams baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon / 5 grams vanilla sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon / 1 gram salt
Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C)

2. Grab a mixing bowl and toss in the flour vanilla sugar and salt

3. Add the softened butter and work everything together until a smooth dough comes together

4. Split the dough into three equal portions and roll each into a log around 3 inches thick

5. Set the logs onto a parchment-lined baking sheet keeping about 1 inch between them

6. While they're baking mix up the peanut butter tosca in a saucepan

7. Stir together the peanut butter sugar and salt over medium heat until the sugar melts and the mixture turns smooth

8. Take the saucepan off the heat and let it rest

9. Once the chocolate logs have baked for 8 to 10 minutes pull them from the oven

10. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly across each warm log

11. Pop them back in the oven and bake another 4 to 5 minutes until the peanut butter firms up and the chocolate deepens in color

12. Let the logs cool entirely before slicing them into diagonal 3-inch pieces

13. Serve and enjoy your treat
