I love making this white pizza loaded with scallops and a tangy kick from crème fraiche. The lemon zest adds a nice burst of citrus flavor. It's a great combination for seafood and pizza fans.
Ingredients
  • 400g (14.1 oz) sourdough pizza dough
  • 200g (7 oz) scallops, peeled and deveined
  • 120g (1/2 cup or 8.5 fl oz) crème fraiche
  • 60ml (1/4 cup or 2 fl oz) olive oil
  • 120g (1/2 cup or 4.3 oz) grated aged cheddar cheese (31% fat)
  • 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2.5g (1 tsp) lemon zest
  • 25g (1/4 cup or 0.9 oz) fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

2. Roll out the sourdough pizza dough until it reaches your desired thickness.

3. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4. In a bowl, combine the crème fraiche, lemon zest, salt, and pepper; mix well.

5. Spread the crème fraiche mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

6. Top the pizza with grated cheese, sliced red onion, and scallops.

7. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza and sprinkle some dill on top.

8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.

9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
