Spicy Pork Fillet Gratin with Paprika
Ingredients
- 600-700g (1.32 lbs) pork fillet
- 250g (4 servings) uncooked rice
- 30g (2 tablespoons) butter
- 6g (1 teaspoon) salt
- 6g (1 teaspoon) black pepper
- 3-6g (1-2 teaspoons) paprika
- 3-6g (1-2 teaspoons) chili flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley or other herbs for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Melt 2 tablespoons (30g) of butter in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add a 1-1.5 pound (450-680g) pork fillet to the pan and cook until browned on all sides about 5-7 minutes.
4. Transfer the pork fillet to a baking dish and sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1/2 teaspoon of chili flakes if desired.
5. Season the pork with salt and black pepper to taste.
6. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
7. Remove the pork from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
8. Serve the pork fillet with a side of cooked rice and garnish with fresh parsley or other herbs.
