Vanilla Apple Jam Recipe

Vanilla Apple Jam Recipe
This comforting jam combines the warmth of apples and vanilla, perfect for toast, yogurt, or desserts. With a gentle depth from the vanilla, it's a simple yet special treat that's full of character.
Ingredients
  • 675g / 1.5 lbs / 3 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith or other sweet-tart varieties work well)
  • 6g / 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 120ml / 4 fl oz / 1/2 cup water
  • 615g / 1.35 lbs / 2 3/4 cups granulated sugar
Instructions

1. Combine chopped apples, water, and vanilla powder in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low (approximately 180°F / 82°C) and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until apples are tender and liquid has evaporated.

2. Add granulated sugar to the saucepan and stir well. Continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes, or until jam has thickened and passed the wrinkle test.

3. Remove saucepan from the heat and let jam cool slightly before transferring it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator at 39°F (4°C) for up to 6 months or in the freezer at 0°F (-18°C) for up to 1 year.

4. Use your delicious homemade vanilla apple jam on toast, yogurt, ice cream, pancakes, or as a topping for your favorite desserts.
